Donna Pinciotti was your typical girl next door. Growing up playing basketball, wearing flannel t-shirts, and hanging out with the boys, Donna grew up believing that she would become the first woman president. Donna blossomed into a buxom redhead, something everyone noticed but her. Growing up with a karma obsessed mother, and a dumb, but nice oaf for a father, Donna's troubles came not from her own image, but of that of her own parents. Constantly at odds with her parents ultra hippy lifestyle, Donna instead sought comfort out in Forman's basement, and in the arms of Forman himself. Despising shallow bitchy types, Donna was dismayed when she had to actually spend time with a Point Place High cheerleader, sophomore Jackie Burkhardt. Donna had no choice, however, but to confide in the girl, when she had troubles of the boy sort, and found she actually cared about the materialistic girl. When Jackie had a pregnancy scare, it became apparent that Donna was determined not the end up the same way. Going on the pill, Donna made it clear she saw more to her life than Point Place, and it would be an aspiration that would end up causing her and Eric's relationship to fall apart. Losing Eric nearly destroyed Donna, but she stuck to her guns, only to have her mother desert her and her father. Donna dealt with the loss the only way she knew how, falling into Eric's arms. The relapse proved Donna had trouble expressing her emotions, and it would come to haunt her again when Eric began to date, and Donna wound up with Casey Kelso, at Jackie's insistance. Donna fell hard, and for the wrong guy. Casey proved a bad influence, breaking her heart, and dumping her in front of her entire family, and her friends. Donna once again went to Eric, but this time, he refused to be used. Devestated, Donna ran away to California, where she sorted out her feelings, and came to the realization she loved Eric. Returning to Wisconson with Eric, Donna now sees a different future. She still wants to be a kick ass rock and roll journalist, but this time, she wants to do it with Eric by her side. Fully committed to her boyfriend, Donna is now engaged. |
