"People! We are losing focus here. Well, what is our quote gonna be? And lets remember, our goal Is to have it be about me." - Jackie, Class Picture

Jackie Burkhardt

Jackie Burkhardt was a typical rich girl cheerleader. According to her, life was perfect, until boyfriend Kelso dragged her down into the Stoner's basement, where she was not only forced to cohabit with his dead beat friends, but the lumberjack of a girl who hung out with them.

It surprised her more than anyone when she began to hang out there of her own volition.

The daughter of a former councilman, Jackie has always defined herself as rich, beautiful, and that's about it. Jackie's pride has always been her money, her beauty, and her status, and her shallowness was only ever thwarted by that actual good heart that seemed to peek out in between her shallow moments.

Jackie's relationship with Kelso seemed to form her entire personality. Described as 'the loud mean one' by Forman's parents, Jackie was bossy, dominearing, and fully intent on getting her way, despite being one year younger than the rest of the group.

Time with her new friends gave Jackie the opportunity to let her maternal streak surface, and time and time proved that Jackie did indeed have a heart of gold (no pun intended). Her most tender moments in the early seasons came when she was in the presence of Donna, the lumberjack Jackie couldn't help but want to reach out to.

Jackie came to rely on her basement crowd during her break up with Kelso, and the experience seemed to cement her place in the group, when all but Eric took her side in the breakup.

Jackie's relationship with  Hyde opened her eyes further. Suddenly somewhat broke, with her father in jail, and her reputation more than likely tarnished, Jackie is attempting to move past her shallow demeanor and materialistic urges.

Hyde's zen qualities, and Donna's feminist yearnings have rubbed off, and Jackie is looking forward to making something of herself, instead of relying on a man to take care of her.
